THE iDOLM@STER Shiny Colors is an animated adaptation of THE iDOLM@STER Shiny Colors. It was announced during THE IDOLM@STER SHINY COLORS 5thLIVE If I_wings. live concert on March 19th, 2023.
The storyline follows Mano Sakuragi, who, following a chance encounter with the Producer of 283 Production, joins the agency, where she meets fellow idols, Hiori Kazano and Meguru Hachimiya, forming the unit illumination STARS.
The series began airing on April 5th, 2024 on TV Tokyo, AT-X, and BS11, followed by a second season that aired on October 4th, 2024. Prior to its airing, the first season received advance screenings in select theaters in three acts, from October 27th, 2023 to January 24th, 2024, with the second season screening from July 5th to October 10th, 2024.

Introduction
First Season
We knew that if we could reach out our hands,
we could soar high into the skies──.
Four newly created units.
Their individual quirks go hand-in-hand with one another.
These new idols, united by their bonds,
take their first steps toward the "light".
The miracle of encounters interweave with one another, shining with a variety of brilliant colors.
Under the endlessly connected sky, new wings begin to spread.
Second Season
These "wings" have taken their first step toward the light──.
Aspirations towards idoldom. Wishes to seek for. Dreams to reach for.
With various thoughts in mind, new units join 283 Production.
Straylight, striving for a perfect performance.
noctchill, bonds between four childhood friends.
The ripples created by these two units turn to radiances that shine each other's path.
What spreads out there is a future of possibilities.
These "wings" take a new step forward. They decide where they will spread their wings――

Second Season
