If you have a problem or comment - talk to the staff...
I stayed with my husband for 4 nights as he was attending a conference and we had a night either side. It is a good, well priced four star hotel. To counter any of the criticisms previously posted all I can say is have a word with the staff! I have stayed at many hotels accommodation but the staff consistently provided a excellent, high standard of service, care, thoughtfulness and attentiveness (without being obtrusive) - the best all round level I have ever experienced. They were friendly and genuinally seemed to want us to have the best stay possible.
Room tip: Contact them to explain your requirements, lodge rooms are more noisy as closer to student accommodation but are priced accordingly.

Thank you so much for your your comments. I know talking to us seems a very obvious thing to do, but it is amazing how many people I ask choose not to. It is always difficult to put things right after the event and an apology is usually cold comfort if the matter has tarnished ones enjoyment or stay. We appreciate the endorsement and are grateful for you taking the time and trouble to record your support on TripAdvisor.
Sincerely

Really good hotel - will definitely go back
It was a really nice room, spacious and tastefully decorated. Some lovely touches which made it a pleasure to stay. I had read some of the other reviews related to noise and I was a little hesitant when booking but as my son is at the University and I was visiting, this was the nearest and most convenient hotel. As it was the hotel was really quiet, no disturbances to a good night's sleep. I can see that rooms in the Lodge are much nearer to the Halls of Residence, but these are priced accordingly and to me, you pay your money and make your choice. I was impressed when looking at the reviews to see responses from the hotel to praise and complaints. This shows that the managers take an interest and want to make a difference. I had nothing whatsoever to complain about. The staff were really welcoming and friendly. The food was good and the gym was small but had enough apparatus to give me a reasonable work out. I will definitely be back and would be happy to recommend this hotel to anyone.
Room tip: Ask for a room in the main hotel block and preferably at the rear of the hotel away from the Halls of Residence if you do not want to hear student noise

Thank you so much for your feedback and constructive comments which I am sure will be a great help to other guests. You are absolutley right about the Lodge rooms, thery are located out of the main building and close to student accommodation. We very seldom get complaints about noise in the main building. A request though to anyone that does, please let us know when you are here so that we can do something about it. Otherwise we are pleased that you left with such a great impression and appreciate your endorsement on TripAdvisor.

B+ with potential
Spacious room on a special deal dinner, bed & breakfast for £85. Lots of facilities available, very clean and modern hotel, easily accessible from M1 junction 23, so handy for everywhere in the East Midlands.Especially handy if you are visiting Loughborough University which has invested huge sums in its buildings and grounds. Will probably do well out of the Conference market. Just a few marks off for a bland evening meal and sleepy service at breakfast time.

Travel Inn Plus?
I've stayed in countless 4 & 5* hotels and I must say our Executive Twin Room was of a standard found in budget hotels around the UK.
Even though I'd booked a room for two people there was only one bath sheet and one sachet of shower gel. I had to squeeze the handwash lotion into a cup and use that!
The much hyped restaurant resembled a smart department store cafe but without the prices. The food was nice even though the chips were of the frozen variety. The breakfast was excellent with a large selection of cooked food; cereals and fruit.
It is an ideally situated hotel for business with countless conference rooms; attentive staff and close to the motorway but I'm afraid it's trying to be something it is not.

Thank you very much for your feedback and comments which are much appreciated. Our apologies for the bathroom bits which should have been doubled up for your twin occupancy. If you had asked we would have run them straight up. We have recently stayed at our two local budget hotels and I have to say our four star hotel is a long way from your description of a Travel Inn plus. For starters we have free onsite parking and wi-fi, leisure and a far better restaurant offer. Four star accreditation is something we work extremely hard to maintain and with a robust and challenging annual audit we would never be allowed to market something we aren't.

Swim course stay
I enjoyed my stay at Burleigh Court, comfy bed, and study desk, lots of revision for the course so quiet really nice. Have another trip planned soon. The breakfast area is well presented, with waitress hospitality, and hot and cold buffet type options, tea and coffee and juices. Sunday opens 7.30 am, not great if on early starts, but nice breakfast all the same. wi-fi options for the iphone guests as well, nice tv, movies, and hair dryer all present. Like the hotel and will stay on campus again.

Thank you for your feedback and endorsement which is much appreciated. There is very little demand for breakfast before 7am at weekends. However if groups would prefer an early start we are more than happy to open the restaurant from 7am. For individuals we are more than happy to do an early continental breakfast tray which can be served in your room. I notice you plan to return again soon so if you would prefer to eat earlier please let us know.
Sincerely
